Sustainable products you can incorporate into your space

At Cemac, we are committed to sustainability, we partner with suppliers whose products are designed with the environment in mind. This article explores some of the standout sustainable products, highlighting their environmentally responsible attributes, that are Level A GECA & AFRDI Greentick certified. These are a great addition to any workspace.

We believe that incorporating sustainable products in the workplace is essential for creating a healthier environment, promoting employee well-being, and demonstrating corporate responsibility.

Material choice significantly impacts the sustainability of interior design projects, especially in commercial spaces that are typically refurbished every 5-7 years. This frequent turnover places a considerable burden on resources and generates substantial waste. Designing for disassembly anticipates the end of a product’s lifecycle and facilitates the separation of components for reuse or proper recycling.

Additionally, some materials and products may contain VOCs and other toxins, which can pose environmental and health risks. Careful material selection is crucial to minimise these risks, favoring low-toxic options. Choosing products made from recycled content not only diverts waste from landfill but also extends the overall product lifecycle, contributing to a more sustainable and responsible approach to commercial interior design.

U.R is an environmentally considered table, using insights from a Life Cycle Assessment to choose more sustainable materials. Components like die cast aluminium are engineered using Finite Element Analysis to ensure strength while eliminating excess material in the design process.
