THE
BRIEF

To design and supply the furniture, joinery and racking fixtures into a brand new building on Earthmover crescent, accommodating approx. 25 Office/sales staff, a retail space and a storage warehouse for the nationwide distribution of customer orders.

SAFETY AND APPAREL

PLANNING

The retail space was to be flexible for the ongoing changes required for retail display and have good opportunities for marketing material and brand signage, along with a counter that could house 2x POS stations.

The furniture package was to provide staff with an ergonomic, open plan solution with adequate storage and good circulation, community and social spaces.

To achieve the brief for the warehouse we used the building height as best possible for bulk storage and tightly stacked shelving for picking faces, plus large workbenches for collating and dispatch. We are now introducing a mezzanine area to increase the picking face potential and more bulkstore as increased capacity is required.

MATERIALS

Materials and finishes were to include hints of greys and oranges to follow the brand but also as a representation of the popular safety apparel colour.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
We engaged Cemac to provide office furniture for our new building in Te Rapa. They listened to our requirements, took our basic ideas and enhanced them allowing us to maximise the space and provide a harmonious work environment. In this design phase their knowledge was invaluable. The fit out itself went extremely smoothly and on time. We have been operating now for a number of months, our team love the layout and we are delighted with how the whole space works.
